Salama Al-Ghweil, Head of the Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council and a candidate for Prime Minister, affirmed that the recent visit of the U.S. Sixth Fleet delegation to Benghazi should not be overblown, calling for a rational and patriotic approach to such events.

Al-Ghweil stated that “the homeland is not threatened by visits, but rescued through genuine action and clear vision,” emphasizing that awe or fear in response to such moves only distracts from the real priorities of national work.

He praised the Libyan Army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, for setting a clear example in the south, particularly through efforts to restore stability in Murzuq and foster true reconciliation away from superficial displays.
