U.S. presidential advisor Massad Boulos announced that he held a productive phone call with Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar, during which several key issues were discussed.

The call focused on Libya’s continued progress toward unifying the national budget, as part of broader efforts to consolidate state financial institutions.

Discussions also highlighted Libya’s pivotal role in hosting part of the upcoming “Flintlock 26” military exercises organized by the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM).

Both sides reviewed important steps aimed at strengthening economic and military integration, while emphasizing support for Libya’s path toward national unity and long-term stability.
