Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar announced that his official visit to Moscow came at the invitation of the Russian side, within the framework of strengthening the close relations between Libya and the Russian Federation.
During the visit, he held meetings with Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko and Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, where discussions focused on expanding cooperation and reviewing regional and international developments.
Haftar stated that the visit reflects the General Command’s vision to broaden partnerships with friendly countries, support Libya’s stability, and enhance its regional and international presence.
He also expressed appreciation to the Russian side for the warm reception and hospitality, describing it as a reflection of the respect for the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.
