Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, General Saddam Haftar, held a telephone conversation with Chadian President, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby, to discuss recent events in the border region of Tibesti.
According to the Media Office, President Déby affirmed that the Chadian government has full control over the situation, with the army securing and stabilizing the border areas.
General Haftar expressed his appreciation for the significant steps taken by the Chadian army to enhance calm and stability in northern Chad. He further stressed the importance of joint coordination and consultation to safeguard the shared border, noting that Chad’s stability is of vital importance to Libya as a state and a people.
