Salama Al-Ghweel, head of the Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council, has announced his candidacy for the position of Prime Minister, joining a list of seven nominees submitted to the House of Representatives.

Ghweel reaffirmed his commitment to a purely Libyan solution grounded in national legitimacy, warning against reliance on foreign statements that undermine Libyan sovereignty and national identity.

He emphasized the need to focus on domestic political and security dialogue, steering clear of foreign-driven agendas that do not reflect the will of the Libyan people.
