Deputy Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Saddam Haftar, received in the city of Sirte the Deputy Commander of the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), Lt. Gen. John Brennan, and the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Brent, along with their accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Saddam Haftar conveyed the greetings of the Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to the American officials.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism, enhancing regional security, addressing illegal migration, and exploring prospects for military collaboration between the Libyan Armed Forces and AFRICOM.
