Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, met with Mr. Jeremy Berndt, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, and Colonel Dustin D. Denola, the U.S. Defense Attaché.
During the meeting, Saddam Haftar welcomed the American delegation and emphasized the positive development in strengthening Libyan–U.S. relations across various fields.
The U.S. delegation praised the role of the General Command under Saddam Haftar’s leadership in maintaining security and stability, protecting Libya’s borders, and supporting the political process, within the framework of the ongoing partnership between both sides.
