As part of his ongoing “Journey of Loyalty,” Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Deputy General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, met with the elders, dignitaries, and youth of the tribes of Brak Al-Shati. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Armed Forces, reaffirming their full support for its national mission to strengthen security and promote development across the southern region.
During the meeting, General Saddam Haftar announced, on behalf of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the launch of the comprehensive national initiative “Together for the South.” The initiative reflects the General Command’s commitment to restoring the rightful place of the South after years of neglect, marginalization, and hardship.
He emphasized that this initiative is a pact of reconstruction and development, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the southern population and activate development in key sectors — including road networks, infrastructure, agriculture, essential services, and job creation — making the South a hub for investment and productivity.
