Battalion 676 Infantry, under the Libyan Army’s General Command and affiliated with the General Staff of the Ground Forces, carried out extensive desert patrols in the Tibesti Mountains along the southern border.
The unit successfully took control of sites previously used by cross-border criminal gangs.
The operation comes in line with directives from the General Commander to secure national borders, combat smuggling, and counter any security threats.
