The Libyan Heritage and Wildlife Authority organized the Benghazi Knights Gathering to celebrate the appointment of General Saddam Khalifa Haftar as Deputy Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.
The event, held at the popular equestrian arena in Talhiya, was attended by members of parliament, ministers, political and social figures, along with a large audience of equestrian and heritage enthusiasts. Traditional horse-riding performances highlighted Libya’s cultural identity and national pride.
Participants praised General Haftar as a symbol of young leadership capable of shouldering national responsibility at a critical stage, emphasizing the broad confidence placed in him.
The organizing authority stated that the gathering reflects its mission to preserve Libya’s authentic heritage and support traditional sports that strengthen social bonds and deepen national unity.
