According to Caliber.az, Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler received General-Lieutenant Saddam Haftar, Commander of the Libyan National Army’s Ground Forces, during an official visit to Ankara.
The visit came at the invitation of Turkish Land Forces Commander, General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu.
The newspaper noted that this visit is part of a series of official and unofficial visits Haftar has made to Türkiye, reflecting Ankara’s efforts to promote the concept of a “Unified Libya” and support Libya’s political unity and territorial integrity.
