Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al-Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, received the elders and dignitaries of Fezzan tribes at the Khalifa Haftar Military City in Benghazi, in the presence of Prime Minister Osama Hammad, Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Khaled Haftar, and Reconstruction Fund Director Eng. Belkacem Haftar.
During the meeting, Fezzan tribal leaders expressed their appreciation for the army’s role in maintaining security and stability, reaffirming their support for the Armed Forces and praising Haftar’s efforts to promote national reconciliation.
The Commander-in-Chief commended the tribes’ patriotic stance and called for a unified national movement to address the political crisis and build a prosperous future based on the will of the Libyan people.
