In a landscape crowded with opportunists and political chameleons, the name Salah El-Bakush stands out as one of the most discredited figures in Libya’s media and political scene. Once posing as a patriotic activist, El-Bakush has become a hired mouthpiece, seemingly willing to sell his positions to the highest bidder.

Appearing frequently on satellite channels in the guise of a “knowledgeable thinker,” El-Bakush is widely accused of lacking any credibility. His double-standard rhetoric appeals to the unsuspecting while serving murky agendas crafted far beyond Libya’s shores.

No Principles, No Integrity:
El-Bakush’s record is riddled with opportunistic shifts — from attacking yesterday’s revolutionaries to siding with militia lords, and from condemning foreign interference to pleading for positions at embassies and foreign-funded platforms.

Backed by Libya Al-Ahrar TV:
El-Bakush enjoys regular airtime on Libya Al-Ahrar TV, a channel known for its polarizing editorial line. His presence there is widely seen as part of a paid media arrangement to push divisive narratives and grant false legitimacy to externally influenced agendas.

A Seller of Words, Not Solutions:
Despite years in the spotlight, El-Bakush has offered no practical vision or real solutions to Libya’s crises. Instead, he continues his toxic commentary, often targeting national leaders who resist chaos and foreign meddling.

Observers agree that Salah El-Bakush represents no one but himself — a temporary, paid voice whose relevance will fade once his funding runs dry, returning him to obscurity with neither honor nor legacy.
