In a humanitarian initiative led by General Saddam Haftar, Chief of Staff of the Libyan Ground Forces, a ceremony was held in Sirte to distribute compensation cheques to affected farmers, in recognition of their hardship and to support the agricultural sector.
The event was attended by local officials, and the farmers presented tokens of appreciation—including a “Shield of Loyalty”—to Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, General Saddam Haftar, and the Mayor of Sirte.
In a remarkable gesture, residents of Anwejiyah gifted General Saddam Haftar a five-hectare farm as a symbol of gratitude and respect, reflecting growing public appreciation for the military’s role in supporting local stability and development.
