General Saddam Haftar, envoy of the Libyan General Commander, recently concluded an official visit to Washington, where he met with senior U.S. officials, including Tim Lenderking, Massad Boulos, and Ambassador Richard Norland.
The visit, which took place over the past few days, focused on enhancing U.S.–Libyan cooperation, supporting efforts to unify Libya’s military institution, and building a stable state based on strong national institutions.
American officials reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing coordination with the Libyan General Command, signaling a growing strategic alignment between the two sides.
