Units from the 676th Infantry Battalion, under the Libyan Army’s Ground Forces Command, carried out a successful operation targeting a hideout used by cross-border criminal networks.
Several suspects of various African nationalities involved in human trafficking, drug smuggling, and arms trade were arrested. Large quantities of weapons, equipment, and desert vehicles were seized.
The operation reflects ongoing efforts by the Ground Forces, under the leadership of General Saddam Haftar, to secure Libya’s borders and combat organized crime.
