As part of ongoing efforts to secure Libya’s borders and combat illicit trafficking, the Sabil Al-Salam Battalion, under the Libyan Ground Forces Command, intercepted a major smuggling network operating along the Libyan–Sudanese–Egyptian border.
The network, composed of Libyan and foreign smugglers, was found transporting large quantities of fuel, light weapons, ammunition, and wireless communication equipment intended for armed groups in exchange for large sums of money.
The Ground Forces Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding national security and preventing supplies from reaching militant factions.
