The War Information Division reported that the Sabil Al-Salam Battalion, under the Libyan Army’s General Command of Ground Forces, pursued an unidentified vehicle that attempted to infiltrate Libyan territory via the Sudanese-Egyptian border.
Upon interception, it was discovered that the vehicle was loaded with large quantities of weapons and ammunition. During the chase, the vehicle exploded, likely due to the volatile cargo.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Ground Forces to secure Libya’s southern borders and combat arms smuggling and cross-border threats.
