Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Chief of Staff of the Libyan Ground Forces, met with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto in Rome as part of an official visit on behalf of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
The two officials discussed developments in the Mediterranean region and explored ways to strengthen joint efforts in addressing security challenges.
Haftar reaffirmed the Libyan Army’s commitment to strategic partnership with Italy, while Crosetto praised Libya’s role in securing its southern borders and combating illegal migration, stressing that Libya’s stability is crucial to regional security.
