Dr. Salama Ibrahim Al-Ghuwail, candidate for the Head of the National Entitlement Government, issued a statement addressing the recent security developments in Libya’s southern border regions with Sudan.

He emphasized the Libyan Armed Forces’ full commitment to protecting national sovereignty and acting within the framework of constitutional and legal mandates. Al-Ghuwail rejected any foreign interference and highlighted the importance of adhering to international agreements and promoting regional cooperation.

He also stressed the need to counter cross-border threats such as terrorism and illegal migration, while reaffirming the historic ties between the Libyan and Sudanese peoples. Al-Ghuwail called for wisdom, accuracy in handling sensitive matters, and responsible media reporting.
