Salama Al-Ghwail, a candidate for the upcoming government, affirmed that the visit by the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Land Forces, Saddam Haftar, to the Essien border crossing with Algeria reflects the military institution’s commitment to protecting Libya’s unity and sovereignty.

He pointed out that the Libyan army now secures more than 95% of the country’s borders, describing the military as the first line of defense safeguarding Libya’s sovereignty.

Al-Ghwail also expressed hope that this move would inspire greater national solidarity toward building a strong and secure state.
