As part of the strategic restructuring of units under the Libyan Army’s Ground Forces Command, and in line with efforts to enhance operational readiness in safeguarding the nation and vital infrastructure, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces, has officially assigned the 105th Battalion, led by Colonel Omar Halloum, to secure airports across the southern region, including Ubari Airport.
Furthermore, Ibrahim Al-Souqi has been appointed as the Commander of the Security Company responsible for protecting Ubari Airport.
On this occasion, Commander Al-Souqi and the entire company extended their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar for his continued trust and unwavering support for the development of the armed forces. They reaffirmed their commitment to serving as a steadfast shield in protecting the homeland and its citizens.
